Certificate "Training of officers responsible for ship security"
The program "Training of officers responsible for ship security" was developed in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on certification of crew members of sea vessels", item 76, approved by the order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. 378 of 08.11.2021, for implementation in Training and training centers.
The program complies with the requirements of Regulation VI / 5 of the International Convention on Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 (hereinafter referred to as the STCW Convention). and Section A-VI/5 of the STCW Code and the IMO Model Course 3.19, based on the sample program " Training of a ship's commander responsible for ship security (paragraph 1.2 of Regulation VI / 5 of the STCW Convention)", approved by Rosmorrechflot Order No. 27 of 02.03.2022.
The aim of the program is to develop the competencies of shipboard officers responsible for ship security in accordance with the requirements of Regulation VI / 5 of the STCW Convention and Table A-VI/5 of Section A-VI/5 of the STCW Code.
The purpose of the program is to train a specialist of the command staff responsible for ship security.
Main tasks: Familiarization with the main provisions and principles of ensuring safety at sea. Terms and definitions related to maritime security, including elements that may relate to piracy and armed robbery. Introduction to international maritime security policies and responsibilities of Governments, companies and designated persons.
Gain knowledge of the following basic requirements and procedures for shipboard security measures: monitoring and monitoring security activities; maintaining security during critical ship / port interaction operations; security levels and their impact on shipboard and port facility security; transmitting security-related messages and handling confidential information methods of physical inspection and non-autopsy checks; conducting exercises and exercises in accordance with relevant IMO conventions, codes and circulars; conducting inspections and inspections; procedures for responding to threats and breaches of security measures and contingency plans; maintaining security-related documentation, including a Declaration of Security; recognizing potential threats, weapons,equipment and equipment. hazardous substances and devices and awareness of the damage they can cause; methods for managing and controlling the masses of people.
