Organization of navigational watchkeeping ('Bridge team and resources management)
The Navigation Watch Organization program is designed to train boatmasters to develop the skills of collective actions on the bridge in various navigation conditions. Training is provided at the request of shipowners.
The program includes lectures, practical exercises and special simulator training.
The program complies with the recommendations of Section A-II/2 of the STCW Code of 1978, as amended, concerning the training of captains and senior officers in the areas of "Voyage planning and navigation, " Organization and procedures of watchkeeping" and "Ensuring safe navigation through the use of radar and SARP and modern navigation systems that support decision-making", and Complies with the recommendations for the retraining of boatmasters in accordance with the provisions of Regulation I / 11 of the STCW 1978 Convention.
The program is designed for boatmasters who have completed simulator training in the following programs:: "Radar surveillance and laying", "Use of SARP", "Electronic cartography", "GMDSS operator".
At the end of the training, the student should know: general principles of organizing a navigation watch, the use of navigation maps and manuals; features of ship management; general principles of radar and GMDSS; actions in emergency situations; methods of mooring and navigation in extreme situations.
