Initial training on cargo operations on oil tankers and chemical tankers in accordance with paragraph 1 of section A-V/1-1 of the STCW Code (paragraph 2.2, Regulation V / 1-1 of the STCW Convention

The purpose of the program is to improve the skills of command and enlisted personnel of oil tankers and chemical tankers, who are assigned special duties and responsibilities in relation to cargo or cargo equipment, aimed at improving and (or) obtaining new competencies necessary for safe operation on tankers transporting oil, petroleum products and chemical cargo in bulk. requirements specified in Table A-V/1-1-1 of Section A-V/1-1 of the STCW Code.

Main objectives of the program:

- familiarization with the physical properties of oil and chemical cargo and related hazards;

- learn the basics of safety and first aid with reference to the material safety data sheet;

- preparation for the implementation of measures to prevent the occurrence of hazards during cargo operations and measures to prevent environmental pollution;

- preparation for performing actions in case of accidents, including in case of fire, related to the handling and transportation of oil and chemical cargo;

- development of skills in the use of equipment to ensure the safety and protection of personnel.
